These tips will help the aligning of your body to the season whilst keeping your mind calm + clear.

🌺 Stay Hydrated

The heat of summer can lead to dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids, focusing on water, herbal teas, and fresh juices. Coconut water is particularly beneficial as it helps replenish electrolytes lost through sweating. Adding a pinch of salt or a squeeze of lime can enhance hydration.

🌺 Embrace Cooling Foods

In Ayurveda, the Pitta dosha (associated with heat) is prominent during the summer. Incorporate cooling foods into your diet such as:

~ Fresh fruits like watermelon, cantaloupe, and berries

~Leafy greens like spinach + cucumber

~Yogurt and buttermilk, which can help soothe the digestive system

🌺 Practice Mindful Eating

Summer can lead to irregular eating habits.

Aim for smaller, more frequent meals that are light and easy to digest.

Avoid heavy, oily, or spicy foods that can aggravate Pitta.

Instead, focus on incorporating sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes.

🌺 Stay Sun-Safe

With the sun at its peak, it’s essential to protect your skin.

Use a natural sunblock, wear protective clothing, and seek shade during the hottest parts of the day.

Fresh Aloe vera can be soothing for sun-exposed skin.

🌺 Connect with Nature

Spend time outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature.

This can help ground you and provide a sense of calm + reducing overwhelm.

Early mornings or late afternoons are perfect times to enjoy walks or meditation in natural settings.

🌺 Listen to Your Body

Pay attention to how your body responds to the heat. If you feel overwhelmed, take breaks, rest, and engage in calming practices.

Each person's constitution is different, so customise your approach based on your unique needs.
