Sass’s Classes are:
Love beams out of every action and word Sasha says, and this is the energy she carries into all her classes and massages. Her calm presence creates a nurturing and safe space to allow students to soften and reconnect to their own inner peace. She believes the bodies own innate wisdom to heal and repair itself and through softness and intentional breath.
Sass loves Yoga because:
Yoga has been a part of Sass’s life for over 17 years. Having started her practice in her hometown Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, she had no idea this would change the trajectory of her life.
When I began my yoga practice back in 2007 I experienced tremendous and almost instantaneous physical and mental healing benefits and knew from a very young age this was something I wanted to share with the world. Yoga is a tool I use to come back home to my body and breath, to help manage stress and anxiety, and to bring balance to my physical body. What continues to fascinate me about yoga is the direct link and connection between mind and body. Through my own consistent practice, it is becoming more and more evident to me the power of thought and intention and how that can have a ripple effect throughout the body. I feel so honoured to be apart of peoples healing journeys and to be able to share these powerful tools with others brings me so much joy.
Sass’s Training + Experience:
In 2017 she attended her first 9week Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Acapulco, Mexico. Since then, she taught full time for a year at her home studio in the Gabba, Brisbane. Through this, she was offered a mentor and teaching opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Oregon in which she travelled between, lived, and taught for 2 years in 2018. This led to a teaching opportunity in Lima, Peru where Sass lived with a local family and taught in Spanish and English.
Over the past few years, Sass has expanded her practice to include many styles and has completed her 500hr Yoga Teacher Training. Her love and passion lies in the softer styles including Slow Flow Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Pregnancy Yoga. Her fascination with the body through yoga has evolved into offering the beautiful art of Traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage and loves creating a safe space for people to surrender to the art of touch to clear stagnation from the body. Further to this, Sass now also offers a unique style of womb and pregnancy massage and is overjoyed to be starting her journey to becoming a midwife as she prepares to study full time next year. It is her mission to combine all holistic practices as she accompanies women through every aspects of pregnancy, labour, birth, postpartum and beyond.
