Exploring the Doshas - Winter Kapha Workshop with Jaime

"Soma (The god of water or the moon) is said to be represented by Kapha in the body, brings about good or bad effects according to its normal or abnormal state, e.g. sturdiness and looseness, plumpness and emaciation, enthusiasm and laziness, potency and impotency, wisdom and ignorance and other such pairs of qualities" - Caraka Samhita, translated by Bhagwan Dash.

Ayurvedic Medicine is considered by many scholars to be the world's oldest and most sophisticated healing science and has its origins in ancient India beginning many thousands of years ago. It has a holistic approach to medicine, health and wellbeing designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realising their full human potential, union with the Divine....or the state of Yoga. Hence the reason Ayurveda is commonly referred to as Yoga's Sister Science.

Kapha is the force behind the structure and stability of the body. It is made up of water and earth, as such these qualities manifest within the body and physiology of a person with a predominance of kapha in their constitution.

Join Jaime for this late winter workshop (when Kapha is accumulating) to explore the qualities of this Dosha, symptoms of kapha imbalance, & how it manifests in your life.

We will sip on Kapha reducing Lovetea, move through a warming Kapha reducing practice + consider techniques to bring balance into your life as we move toward Spring.
