Evidence Based EFT is a brief psychophysiological intervention combining elements of exposure, cognitive therapy, and somatic stimulation.
It is often referred to as ‘Tapping’ as it uses a two finger tapping process with a cognitive statement.
EFT has been researched in more than 10 countries, by more than 60 investigators, whose results have been published in more than 100 different journal articles.
In 2019 a research study conducted here on the Gold Coast at Bond University revealed a 43% reduction in cortisol levels for participants in the EFT group after an hour of tapping.
The results of this study were published in the American Psychological Society Journal. Indicating that “tapping” a stress reduction tool is gaining traction in the wider medical community.
